Monserrat is a Singer-Songwriter and one half of The Bohemians, a folk/indie duo. She is nearing the completion of her Music major and Business minor at the University of San Diego. She is primarily a vocalist but can also play the Alto Saxophone, Piano, and Guitar. She plans on pursuing her Master’s in Music Therapy with a specific interest in children.

She grew up taking part in saxophone lessons, choir, marching band, jazz band, and even the mariachi ensemble. She has performed at the Hotel Del Coronado, Petco Park, and at the Women’s Tennis Open. She has also been featured on television on multiple occasions. Most recently, Monserrat has recorded several original songs with Mayra (member of The Bohemians) and has been requested to perform for several San Diego events.

She believes in communicating with people through the universal language of music. In her spare time she sings with her one year old son and volunteers as a “Joy Giver” musician. Monse is also a proud alum of the Toussaint Academy, one of the beneficiaries of the Songs For Shelter concert and expresses her love and appreciation for those supporting the mission of the concert.
